8 Week Mindfulness Based Living Course (MBLC)

The Mindfulness Based Living Course (MBLC), is an in depth 8-week course suitable for adults completely new to mindfulness, as well as those wanting to develop a deeper understanding of mindfulness.  The course consists of:

  • 8 x 2 hour weekly mindfulness sessions.
  • Course delivered by a certified Mindfulness teacher.
  • Course delivered online in a group via zoom.
  • Course manual sent electronically following each session.
  • Audio of meditations to listen to at home (via an app).
  • Certificate of completion.

The aim of this course is to provide an opportunity for people to develop a deeper internal connection through experiential learning and reflection. With kindness and compassion at the centre of this course, you will be guided to learn about the patterns of the mind and the connection this has on the body. This course is fully accredited by the British Association of Mindfulness-Based Approaches (BAMBA) and has the following benefits:

8 Week Compassion Based Living Course (CBLC)

The Compassion Based Living Course (CBLC), is a 'level 2' course suitable for adults who have already completed an 8-week mindfulness course (e.g. MBLC, MBCT, MBSR or Breathworks). The course consists of:

  • 8 x 2 hour weekly compassion sessions.
  • Course delivered by a certified Mindfulness teacher.
  • Deeper exploration into compassion and self-compassion
  • Course delivered online in a group via zoom.
  • Course manual sent electronically following each session.
  • Audio of meditations to listen to at home (via an app).
  • Certificate of completion.

The course provides people the opportunity to deepen their mindfulness practice, whilst developing compassion for others and themselves. Through compassionate imagery, you will learn how to approach skilfully to difficult emotions. The course has the following benefits:

  • Building an inner resource for managing difficult emotions.
  • Developing compassion as part of your mindfulness practice.
  • How to respond to the self-critic.
  • Cultivating positive emotions.
  • Developing kindness and compassion for others and the self.

  • Session 7 – The Four Immeasurable Qualities
  • Session 8 – Widening the circle of compassion

 

One-to-One Mindfulness Sessions

Mindfulness is usually taught in small groups, as there is greater opportunity for learning from other participants and their interaction with the facilitator of the course. Many people also enjoy the supportive environment of the group during their mindfulness practice. However, if you would prefer, The Mindful Zen is able to deliver mindfulness sessions on a one-to-one basis, starting from £80 per hour. Sessions can be tailored to introduce you to mindfulness, help you to develop a regular mindfulness practice or learn strategies to manage a particular issue.
